Who We Are
Luxpress Publishing (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website luxpbooks.com, a self-publishing and reading platform for eBooks, audiobooks and print titles. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
What Personal Data We Collect
- Account details: name, email address, password (encrypted)
- Payment details: processed directly by Stripe and PayPal — we do not store your full card number
- Order and subscription history
- Reading activity: titles viewed, purchased, or streamed, used to personalise recommendations
- Author and affiliate data: royalty and commission records, payout details
Why We Collect It
- To process orders, subscriptions, and royalty or commission payouts
- To operate your account and author/affiliate dashboards
- To personalise your reading experience and recommendations
- To meet our legal and tax obligations
Who We Share It With
We share payment data with Stripe and PayPal solely to process transactions, and payout data with our payment processors to pay authors and affiliates. We also use WebToffee, a marketing automation platform, which is given access to order, customer, coupon, and product data in order to send transactional and marketing emails (such as cart-recovery reminders and account-related notifications) and manage related webhooks on our behalf. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third-party advertisers.
How Long We Keep It
Order and payment records are retained for 7 years to meet HMRC record-keeping requirements. Reading activity data is retained for 2 years. You can request earlier deletion of non-financial data at any time (see “Your Rights” below).
